This vigorous, mostly spineless commercial selection produces large, richly flavoured berries. White, raspberry-like flowers are followed by juicy fruit that ripens to deep burgundy, usually from December to February.
Plant in a sunny, sheltered position with fertile, free-draining soil. Keep the soil evenly moist during active growth and fruiting, and provide wires or a trellis to support the long canes.
Grows to about 1.5 m high and can spread to around 3 m. After harvest, remove the canes that have fruited and tie in strong new canes for the following season.
